Hole 2

Hole 1

Hole Description

A slight dog leg right, down hill all the way with out of bounds left and right. If your tee shot is way right then please shout FORE !

Pro's Tip

Aim your tee shot down the left side of the fairway allowing the slope to move your ball back towards the middle, once here your second shot plays shorter than the yardage, maybe a thought in firm conditions is to allow the ball to land on the fringe and run onto the green.

Hole 2

Hole Description

A straight forward hole, with out of bounds over the ditch on the left.

Pro's Tip

A tough tee shot that you must commit too if you are to carry the fairway bunker. The long narrow green slopes front right to back left and is very fast in the summer.

Hole 3

Hole Description

A Short par 4, beware of the ditch on the left.

Pro's Tip

A fairly open tee shot that requires you aim to the left half of the fairway to avoid the fairway bunker. Leave your approach shot below the hole even if you are off the green as this green slopes severely from left to right.

Hole 4

Hole Description

Straight forward par 5 but beware of the ditch on the left, and out of bounds on the practice ground.

Pro's Tip

An inviting tee shot where the fairway bunker only affects the longer hitter who may reach this green in two. For those laying up take care to not be caught be the fairway bunker lying in wait 100 yards short of this green which runs fast from front to back. A birdie chance for the long hitter.

Hole 5

Hole Description

Tempting par 3, but out of bounds over the fence to the left.

Pro's Tip

A tricky first par 3 on the course. This hole plays 8 yards less then it’s yardage. Use the clouds to help you pick the wind direction on this hole as it tends to swirl around the trees on the tee leading to confusion. Err on the side of short on this hole.

Hole Description

Par 5, down hill all the way .. make sure you read the Pro's remarks !

Pro's Tip

A very demanding tee shot here with out of bounds on both sides of the fairway which slopes from left to right. A genuine three shot Par 5 where each shots needs your full focus. Careful consideration is needed regarding your approach to the small fast running green that sits below you.

Hole 7

Hole Description

Tricky par 4, protected by a ditch in front of the green.

Pro's Tip

A fantastic Par 4 where the aim from the tee should be the tree on the right edge of the fairway as the slope of the fairway will move the ball back towards the centre. Too far left and the large trees will block your approach to this elevated narrow green that is protected by a ditch crossing the front of the green.

Hole Description

Pro's Tip

The second Par 3 on the course is also the longest. A tee shot missing to the right leaves a very tough shot to an elevated green. Par here is a great score.

Hole Description

Long par 5 with out of bounds over the fence to the left.

Pro's Tip

A long sweeping Par 5 that requires a drive favouring the right side of the fairway, then decision time, lay up short of the ditch crossing the fairway at 80 yards or try and clear it giving you a chance of reaching this par 5 in 2. This is a very fast running green from front right to back left.

Hole 10

Hole Description

Tricky little par 4 with the 11th Tee to the left of the fairway. A shout of FORE if your ball heads in that direction.

Pro's Tip

For some golfers this is a reachable Par 4 at only 271 yards, a very narrow target though and this green sits at you from back to front. Another hole where your approach must be left below the hole as this green can become treacherous if playing from above the hole.

Hole 11

Hole Description

Great par 3 with plenty of trouble waiting for you if you hit an errant shot.

Pro's Tip

This is a very tough par 3 played through a narrow shoot of trees and over a ditch, so anything short of this green has the potential of running back down the slope towards the ditch so take one club more than you think here.

Hole 12

Hole Description

Long par 4 and if you hit one right, please shout FORE as its heading towards the 11th tee and the 10th green. Please ring the bell when you finish this hole.

Pro's Tip

At 460 yards this is the longest Par 4 on the course and favours a drive towards the left half of the fairway to hopefully get a firm forward bounce. The second shot into the green is played down over a hill to a green that sits some way below you so one club or even two clubs less should see the ball kick down towards the green.

Hole 13

Hole Description

Toughest hole on the course with a blind tee shot, so a decent straight drive over the brow is a must. After everyone has played their second shot, please remember to ring the bell.

Pro's Tip

Stroke index 1 deserves it’s rating. A Par 4 of 449 yards plays every bit of that and more as this hole creeps gently uphill to a small elevated target. Some may choose to play this as a three shot approach so be wary of the cross bunkers that sit some 80 yards short of the green. 5 here is no bad score.

Hole 14

Hole Description

Par 3 with out of bounds to the left over the fence.

Pro's Tip

A tricky Par 3 from an elevated tee played down to a large green surrounded by bunkers. The contours of the land slope gently from left to right so aim to land your tee shot around the front left edge of the green for a friendly forward bounce.

Hole Description

Long par 4 with danger left and right as the stroke index suggests.

Pro's Tip

A very straight strong Par 4 to a slightly elevated fairway that slopes gently from left to right, there is a lone tall willow in the distance that serves as a great line. Your approach to a long narrow target is guarded by bunkers along the right of the fairway and green. 4 here is a very good score. Hole 16

Hole Description

Pro's Tip

You may have heard of this hole, if you haven’t you’ll remember it !!! At only 148 yards this Par 3 shouldn’t cause much trouble but when the two tiered green is elevated above you, is guarded by two pot bunkers and plays 14 yards longer than it’s yardage you’ll soon see why this is a feared hole.

Hole Description

NIce par 5 finishing hole, with out of bounds to the left and plenty of danger off the tee,

Pro's Tip

The last hole on the course is a gentle sweeping left to right dog leg Par 5. Aim at the apex of the house on the corner off the tee, then lay up short of the bunkers 80 yards short of the green. This will leave a challenging pitch up the long and very narrow green. The longer hitter may choose to cut the corner from the tee but the risk is not always rewarded.
